Fear Not

Have you ever been fearful? I guess the answer to that is yes I have, though the fear that I'm talking about this time is the one that paralizes, the one that makes you shiver out of panic and terror.

Two days ago I had to confront one of my biggest fears though for the first time in my life I knew I was not facing it alone. I knew this was my time to go out and conquer the world, time for change, time for action. In the mist of it I saw the hand of God guiding me through it and even though panic was knocking on my door I didn't let it in. Believe me, you guys out there that understand this kind of fear/panic and those that don't, it can blind you to the point of not knowing what to do even if you have the answer right infront of you.

The Lord told me:
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

I understood God was speaking to me that day, and not only that, I saw this promise in action while I was facing the monster.

There's always a time to face your monsters, not when other people tell you to face them but when the Lord tells you to. People that doesn't understand your chains will always underestimate you and will always try to diminish what you're going through but God understands, He knows what you go through and if you let Him come into your life He will organize it and help you change your perspective, cause its all in the mind. Layer by layer bracking chains off of you and making you free. It takes time, it takes you to surrender everyday and and be willing to give up all areas of your life to God so He can substitude fear with Love. It works

"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." 2 Corinthians 3:17

"I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears" Psalms 34:4

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed"  John 8:36

Listen

"For God does speak —now one way, now another— though man may not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men as they slumber in their beds, He may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, to turn man from wrong doing and keep him from pride, to preserve his soul from the pit, his life from perishing by the sword." Job 33:14-18

Let's make silence in the mist of a world that's going very fast, let's stop and LISTEN to what God is saying to His people so that when the bad day comes we would understand the designs of the Kingdom and we would know what to do

Anxiety

One day I was getting ready for bed when suddenly I heard the voice of God telling me "Shut up Jireh" I was stunned. My thoughts were louder than if I were talking out loud, all of a sudden I felt such peace that overtook me and I fell asleep.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

I don't know if you have experienced high levels of anxiety, I guess everyone of us can relate to some extend, it can imbalance your nervous system, its totally destructive and can affect your health, that's why the Lord gave us His powerful advice so we can focus, grow and walk in faith.

When we search for God in prayer in the mist of the anxiety, when we come and tell Him how we feel like a friend would talk to another friend the things we're going through, and we take that load and put it in His hands, the inexplicable peace engulfs your heart when you decide to completely trust in the Lord.

"Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." Psalms 55:22

Those moments when life challenges you, I guess you know what I'm talking about, they are perfect to put in motion the Word of God bringing your worries, questions, confusions to Him and wait for His answer with patience. Stop worrying, stop being anxious, there's always a solution under the sun, enough!

The Word of the Lord always works, give it a try..

The Ravens of God

Normally every morning I can hear the sound of many birds singing just outside of my window and I always think of how great is their capacity to worship God constantly, everyone of them with a distinct color and tone like a symphony of worshipers that praise God in spirit and in truth. But I heard something different that morning, there was three birds singing in a very loud and deep tone, and I said to myself -they sound like ravens- I couldn't see them, they were behind a tree, so I lean forward to see if I could catch a glimpse, and there it was a beautiful black bird with lustrous plumage.
The first thing that came to my mind was a dominican saying that states: "Raise ravens and they will take your eyes out"  and in that moment the Lord told me that that is what people say but it was not what he thought about them and that's when I decided to look for this verses:

"Consider the ravens: they do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds?" Luke 12:24

"Who provides food for the raven when its young cry out to God and wander about for lack of food?

The Lord uses His creation as an example to remind you that you can surely TRUST HIM! That you can put your heavy load and anxiety in His hands because He cares for you. That when there's no way out and everything seems obscure, when your life is full of terror because you can't see a door, in your darkest hour there you see the Lord coming to your rescue and providing you food, comfort, solutions, ideas or whatever the circumstances you're facing right now.

The ravens were completely confident that the day they went out on the hunt for food they were going to be satisfied because they trusted their Creator was going to give them their portion. They cry out to God recognizing their dependence on Him. None of your darkest moments are in vane, none of your tears go unnoticed, in your loneliness and desperation the Lord is there holding your hand. The Lord is your provider and your source of Hope.

The Lord wants you to recognize that you depend on Him. He wants you to ask Him for help and understand that you can't go through this alone, He wants you to completely trust the one that is your refuge, your fortress, guidance and salvation. There's nothing wrong in asking for help, He is eager to extend a helping hand. TRUST! when the night is on its darkest it means that soon the sun will rise!

I Am The King of Opportunities

I was sitting in my living room going through a magazine talking about a good life opportunity, about a door of a legitimate business that for those that take advantage of it prosper and succeed. In the meantime I was asking God: Why not me? Why not with me? Why I can't be part of something like this? Honestly I felt a little disappointed and kinda sad to see how legitimate was this opportunity and see all this people thriving in it and being successful. When I asked God Why this is what He answered:

"This is a legitimate opportunity but I have a plan for every each of you and if I am not present in your endeavors or in what you think your good plans are for your life in vane is your effort for success. I AM THE KING OF OPPORTUNITIES."

When I heard this I felt such a relief, it reminded me of how important is to DEPEND on God for everything. And when I say everything I mean in the smallest of detail. In my personal walk with God I'm learning to ASK... What do you want me to do? Where do you want me to go? What do you want me to say? Can I do this or that, yes or no? What is your will on such and such matter? And the list goes on and on...

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares de Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish  what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:8-11

Have you ever felt forgotten, like everything rises up against you and it seams like you can't go forward; like hearing over and over "God has a purpose for you" doesn't make a difference anymore and you ask yourself Why is it that nothing seams to prosper...

Listen! Let me tell you this,  God specializes in rising up the forgotten ones, He loves to comfort the hearts of those that for some reason has been put to the side and in doing marvelous and powerful things with those that feel disqualified.. I would say that the Lord let these periods of time happen in your life to create in you a proven servant, humble and full of love for when you have to   help others in need.. If you find yourself in these circumstances you are the perfect candidate to experience the restoring power of a Father that loves you. Because His power is made perfect in your weakness and he made the useless a useful tool for His glory.

And Yes, the Lord has a plan for you believe it or not, this is my advice.. ASK God what's His plan for your life and don't stop asking until you see an answer, Be brave and take advantage of the Kingdom cause God is for you if you're willing to come before Him.

The feet of Jesus

The feet of Jesus
the morning of April 3rd while I was still in bed I saw an image right in front of me as if my eyes were a tv screen. I saw it clearly, His feet walking in the desert wearing sandals and a white tunic with a blue trim around it. He was walking forward when the image vanished right in front of my eyes.

"How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!""
Isaiah 52:7

Our biggest example taking the good news of salvation to mankind, Jesus left us a legacy, a manual of instructions full of tools for us to know how to tackle our responsibility. I'm in awe to see all the things the Lord Jesus did while on earth for us to copy every detail. The way He spoke, the way He did things, the way He conducted himself, listen to this! He only did what He heard and saw of the Father He was an example of obedience, submission and love to the Father (John 8:28-29)

I ask myself, when was the last time I spoke a message of hope to someones heart... I shouldn't last too long to answer... and if that's the case then something must be wrong.

Are you doing what God called to do... do you know what is that...  Have you accepted the gift of salvation or are you waiting and waiting and haven't made a decision to surrender your life to Christ (don't wait much longer). And check this out... Are you just sitting down with your arms crossed doing nothing while people die without Christ every day? Just think about it...

Brothers and sisters observe Christ, observe Him, and again I say, pay attention to all the details of how He did things while in the flesh, that way we will learn from the best of examples to be the feet that bring hope to the hopeless hearts..

I Want To Be Loved

"I have loved you with an everlasting love" was the phrase I heard in my head this morning to the point that made me ponder over the love that God has for His children, I was in awe, felt like I was swimming in a spring of deep crystal clear waters that I couldn't see the bottom. My eyes begin to fill with tears because the reality of His love is so big that I cannot grasp it without it come right out of my hands.

To know that He loves me (for what He did for me) and understanding the depth of His love for me are two different things. A lot of the times we are so full of doubt, bitterness, resentment  and the mind full of wrong ideas about ourselves that won't let us see that God doesn't see the flaws in us but He sees us with eyes of love (Deep love) because we are wonderfully made on His image, we are His most precious creation.

Do not diminish yourself, God is eager for you to see how big is His love that He didn't think twice when He put His only son to go through death so you can enjoy the love of a Father in your life. Of a real Father if you never had one or if the one you had was not cutting it, even if your father was the loving father anybody could wish for, know that that's just a mere reflection of the Love God intended for you.

It is not an option to run away, you've been doing it for a very long time, your circumstances hasn't changed, the void in your heart is getting bigger. Why postpone letting yourself be loved sincerely? There's nothing like being truly loved by someone.

"The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: 'I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.'" Jeremiah 31:3

Fully Equipped? Then Give the First Step!

Today I had a short dream early in the morning where I saw myself fully equipped with the US Army gear, like for real, I had everything on including that huge backpack that every time I see it in one of them makes me think -Man that's got to be uncomfortable- I was inside a bus full of people heading towards war though I noticed that I was the only one dressed up like it. Even though I looked prepared from the outside I feared not being ready for the war ahead. I saw someone that was sitting behind me that in real life we have no communication whatsoever other than have it as a friend in Facebook, this person stood up from the seat and sat next to me trying to call my attention as if I had something that now looks interesting (you know like when people don't care about you and "all of a sudden" they seam to care) I was talking to another person to my right hand at the moment.

The life of a christian is always to be alert, always to be prepared, always to be strengthen with the power of God. We are not to do anything without the guidance of the Lord since we are called to be dependent on Him even in the smallest of things. The Lord equips for every battle if you make Him your fortress, He gives you all the weapons and tools you need for war and its normal to feel fear when you are heading to the unknown or just when you're having changes in your life or whatever situation you're about to face that makes you anxious, but that doesn't change the fact that you are fully dressed and already anointed to face the situation. Giving the first step is the hardest, I've noticed, because in previous battles I've seen how courageous I can become when I'm already in the mist of it.

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power, put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand." Ephesians 6: 10-13
