Get ready to forget..

One thing I am quite sure, when you drag around trash from the past, it's impossible to clearly see what lies ahead.

We are living through very important times. Times that will mark a before and after in the lives of many children of God.

The Messiah is calling His people to drop everything that lies behind; all the trash that limits us. To put an end to fruitless lifestyles. To forgive. To let go. To start over with a blank canvas. For this is the time where he intends to write a new chapter in the lives of those who love Him.

Time to see the ressurrection of long forgotten dreams. Time of full joy to achieve what you thought once impossible. Time for new ideas, new conquests. Time for restoration and reconciliation. Long is the list for what God has in store for us this season.
However, in order for this to happen one must get rid of the old garments.

Stop living in the past so you do not miss the bus. Pay attention. Open your eyes. Understand the times. Seek the face of God, humble yourself before Him. Make yourself available. Don't stay out of what God is doing.

In my conversations with the Lord, I remember mentioning numerous times. "Do not leave me out of your plans for the end times"
And as a result of praying, my eyes were opened to see the new things of God. And this is for everyone who is thirsty.

““Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV

The Goodies of the Kingdom

Once, the Lord showed me in a dream, a large grocery store. Full of all kinds of good stuff. As I looked around He said,
"everything in here is yours for free." I remember being excited and feeling so grateful.

Then when I wake up, the Lord leads me to His Word to show me what he meant,

“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.”
Isaiah 55:1 NIV

I call this the goodies of the Kingdom of my Father.
The Kingdom has so many riches to be discovered and thus unleashed on the lives of those who love God's presence. Whoever is like that knows that there is always more in God. The word limit does not exist in the Kingdom. It's all about positioning yourself and seize those things that the Lord already paid high price for. No wonder why in my dream I could take anything in the supermarket without paying a dime. Isn't that awesome!

His Word says that the "Kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent take it by force alone" (Matt. 11:12).
That word can not be further from reality. It hits the mark, because to take a hold of the inheritance that belong to us, those who are meant to be experienced on this side of life, one must be bold and believe like children (Matt 11:25, Matt 18:3).
Only by faith we SEE the kingdom only by faith we can interact with the supernatural God. Faith is like a passport.
Many of the promises in the Word were designed to be lived in this realm, certainly we will not need them on the other side.

If you're like me, take the promises already in the Word of God, make them yours today. They have the power to transform. Declare them over your life, over your children, your marriage, your family.
Remember that you and I are made in the image and likeness of God.  One of the characteristics we inherit is the creative power of the word "In your tongue lies the power of life and death." (Psalm 33: 6, Proverbs 18:21.)
For those who have ears ...

“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.”
1 Corinthians 4:20 NIV

“and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.”
Colossians 1:12 NIV

The Wait

I waited, I waited much. But in exchange, I learned a lot too.

I experienced how God trains his children to learn patience. To have perseverance and fortitude in this walk.

He once told me. "Jireh, delight in my patience because I want to take you to where it is needed. I will teach you patience"

I realize that we went through several stages. The tantrums to God when we wait for something with uncontrollable anxiety, crying out 'why' or 'when' like spoiled children.

We continued walking and since we saw the Lord always arrived on time in a problem of the past, then, we developed a little more confidence. Though, without leaving aside the "desperate" way of praying for the Lord to manifest himself.

Finally, we reached a point where we simply say to the Lord. I trust you. I know you're not lying, I know you very well. You're going to accomplish what you have promised.

At this point, hope renews on it's own. Because it no longer depends on emotions, or the uncertainty of the situation, but, you know, that you know, that God will once again come through as He always has on past occasions. Their hope is completely put in a God who does not lie.

Wow! When we managed to get there, nothing disturbs us. And we wait quietly while we rejoice in the Lord.

Delight in the Lord while you await. It is worth waiting for God's time.

It is never in vain ... Never.

“Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!””
Luke 1:45 NIV

Fear Not

Have you ever been fearful? I guess the answer to that is yes I have, though the fear that I'm talking about this time is the one that paralizes, the one that makes you shiver out of panic and terror.

Two days ago I had to confront one of my biggest fears though for the first time in my life I knew I was not facing it alone. I knew this was my time to go out and conquer the world, time for change, time for action. In the mist of it I saw the hand of God guiding me through it and even though panic was knocking on my door I didn't let it in. Believe me, you guys out there that understand this kind of fear/panic and those that don't, it can blind you to the point of not knowing what to do even if you have the answer right infront of you.

The Lord told me:
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

I understood God was speaking to me that day, and not only that, I saw this promise in action while I was facing the monster.

There's always a time to face your monsters, not when other people tell you to face them but when the Lord tells you to. People that doesn't understand your chains will always underestimate you and will always try to diminish what you're going through but God understands, He knows what you go through and if you let Him come into your life He will organize it and help you change your perspective, cause its all in the mind. Layer by layer bracking chains off of you and making you free. It takes time, it takes you to surrender everyday and and be willing to give up all areas of your life to God so He can substitude fear with Love. It works

"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." 2 Corinthians 3:17

"I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears" Psalms 34:4

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed"  John 8:36

Listen

"For God does speak —now one way, now another— though man may not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men as they slumber in their beds, He may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, to turn man from wrong doing and keep him from pride, to preserve his soul from the pit, his life from perishing by the sword." Job 33:14-18

Let's make silence in the mist of a world that's going very fast, let's stop and LISTEN to what God is saying to His people so that when the bad day comes we would understand the designs of the Kingdom and we would know what to do

Anxiety

One day I was getting ready for bed when suddenly I heard the voice of God telling me "Shut up Jireh" I was stunned. My thoughts were louder than if I were talking out loud, all of a sudden I felt such peace that overtook me and I fell asleep.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

I don't know if you have experienced high levels of anxiety, I guess everyone of us can relate to some extend, it can imbalance your nervous system, its totally destructive and can affect your health, that's why the Lord gave us His powerful advice so we can focus, grow and walk in faith.

When we search for God in prayer in the mist of the anxiety, when we come and tell Him how we feel like a friend would talk to another friend the things we're going through, and we take that load and put it in His hands, the inexplicable peace engulfs your heart when you decide to completely trust in the Lord.

"Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." Psalms 55:22

Those moments when life challenges you, I guess you know what I'm talking about, they are perfect to put in motion the Word of God bringing your worries, questions, confusions to Him and wait for His answer with patience. Stop worrying, stop being anxious, there's always a solution under the sun, enough!

The Word of the Lord always works, give it a try..

The Ravens of God

Normally every morning I can hear the sound of many birds singing just outside of my window and I always think of how great is their capacity to worship God constantly, everyone of them with a distinct color and tone like a symphony of worshipers that praise God in spirit and in truth. But I heard something different that morning, there was three birds singing in a very loud and deep tone, and I said to myself -they sound like ravens- I couldn't see them, they were behind a tree, so I lean forward to see if I could catch a glimpse, and there it was a beautiful black bird with lustrous plumage.
The first thing that came to my mind was a dominican saying that states: "Raise ravens and they will take your eyes out"  and in that moment the Lord told me that that is what people say but it was not what he thought about them and that's when I decided to look for this verses:

"Consider the ravens: they do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds?" Luke 12:24

"Who provides food for the raven when its young cry out to God and wander about for lack of food?

The Lord uses His creation as an example to remind you that you can surely TRUST HIM! That you can put your heavy load and anxiety in His hands because He cares for you. That when there's no way out and everything seems obscure, when your life is full of terror because you can't see a door, in your darkest hour there you see the Lord coming to your rescue and providing you food, comfort, solutions, ideas or whatever the circumstances you're facing right now.

The ravens were completely confident that the day they went out on the hunt for food they were going to be satisfied because they trusted their Creator was going to give them their portion. They cry out to God recognizing their dependence on Him. None of your darkest moments are in vane, none of your tears go unnoticed, in your loneliness and desperation the Lord is there holding your hand. The Lord is your provider and your source of Hope.

The Lord wants you to recognize that you depend on Him. He wants you to ask Him for help and understand that you can't go through this alone, He wants you to completely trust the one that is your refuge, your fortress, guidance and salvation. There's nothing wrong in asking for help, He is eager to extend a helping hand. TRUST! when the night is on its darkest it means that soon the sun will rise!
