The Wait

I waited, I waited much. But in exchange, I learned a lot too.

I experienced how God trains his children to learn patience. To have perseverance and fortitude in this walk.

He once told me. "Jireh, delight in my patience because I want to take you to where it is needed. I will teach you patience"

I realize that we went through several stages. The tantrums to God when we wait for something with uncontrollable anxiety, crying out 'why' or 'when' like spoiled children.

We continued walking and since we saw the Lord always arrived on time in a problem of the past, then, we developed a little more confidence. Though, without leaving aside the "desperate" way of praying for the Lord to manifest himself.

Finally, we reached a point where we simply say to the Lord. I trust you. I know you're not lying, I know you very well. You're going to accomplish what you have promised.

At this point, hope renews on it's own. Because it no longer depends on emotions, or the uncertainty of the situation, but, you know, that you know, that God will once again come through as He always has on past occasions. Their hope is completely put in a God who does not lie.

Wow! When we managed to get there, nothing disturbs us. And we wait quietly while we rejoice in the Lord.

Delight in the Lord while you await. It is worth waiting for God's time.

It is never in vain ... Never.

“Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!””
Luke 1:45 NIV
